One of my products has been removed, no msg from CGT

Discussion started by connorwilding

Ive had one of my products removed, a 1960s era Ford Mustang, but I havent had any word from CGT regarding it. I have the same product on Turbosquid and that has had to go through an approval process and get verified by Ford themselves. However I got an email and a notice on the product that this was happening. With CGT trader ive had no such thing.

Im assuming that they are following the same protocol as TS in getting it approved but has anything like this happened to anyone else?

Cheers.

AFAIK Ford and Turbosquid has made deal of exclusivity, so you can't sell digital models of Ford production anywhere but on TS. Most likelythat is the reason why your model was removed. Although CGT usually informs seller about removed models through e-mail. Maybe they just forget to do so this time, or e-mail has got into your spam folder.

Anyway, there is a short list of brands that are not allowed to publish on CGT. You can ask about that list at CGT support or shoot me PM if you want. That could save you some trouble if you pick "wrong" brand for your next model.

ahhh that makes sense then, just checked my spam folder and its not there either. I think they might have just forgot or somthing, it could come through in a few hours/ days maybe.

Thank you, ill have a look at the list and avoid any of the blacklisted brands.

Hey guys,

Thanks for letting it known in the discussion! Yes, the model had to be removed due to copyright claims. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Sorry the email wasn't there - as it should have been.:)

Regards,
Eddie, CGT Team
