Why CGTrader is Better Than TurboSquid?

Discussion started by hemantsoni3099

When it comes to selling and buying 3D models, CGTrader stands out as a superior platform compared to TurboSquid. Both marketplaces cater to designers and businesses, but CGTrader offers more advantages in terms of pricing, royalties, and community engagement.

One of the biggest reasons CGTrader surpasses TurboSquid is its higher royalty rates. While TurboSquid takes a significant cut from designers' earnings—often up to 60%—CGTrader provides some of the highest royalties in the industry, allowing designers to keep up to 80-90% of their earnings. This makes CGTrader a more lucrative platform for 3D artists looking to maximize their income.

Pricing flexibility is another key advantage. CGTrader allows designers to set their own prices with fewer restrictions, ensuring they have control over their work. In contrast, TurboSquid enforces pricing rules that can limit a seller’s ability to compete effectively.

Furthermore, CGTrader fosters a strong designer community through challenges, forums, and freelance opportunities, creating a more interactive and supportive environment. It also provides a seamless user experience with a modern interface and better customer support.

For designers looking for a fairer, more profitable, and community-driven marketplace, CGTrader clearly outshines TurboSquid as the go-to platform for 3D model sales.

Except for the issue of holding 50% and 70% sales every single month - more than half the time in a year. So, 90% of 30% of the price of a model? I really can't afford to place products on this brokering site any longer.
