General advice for 3D Project section

I’m starting to apply to my level of modeling requests in the 3D project section, and I’ve applied to three of them so far. One person emailed me directly to say that they had found someone else, but for the other projects the owner has not told me anything. Is this because they got someone else to do it, or because they haven’t seen my application yet? I would like to know because I applied to these a good while ago, and haven’t gotten anything back yet.

Also, do you have any general advice for the 3D project section in cgt? I’m relatively new here, and I would like to learn more about how it works.
