3D SciFi Challenge
It was the year 2414 when the entire human race was forced to leave planet Earth as a result of the disorder in the parallel universe. It directly affected the solar system and whole Universe as we know it. No one knows what exactly happened, but the living conditions on the majority of planets became unhabitable. In these times of instability and race migration a war broke out when two origins had collided one with another due to growing supply needs and habitable territories.
The galaxy split into the origins of good and evil. The good ones were concerned to restore stability and overcome the crisis in a peaceful way. The evil ones, however, had a desire to use this crisis to take control over the whole Universe. It marked the beginning of a war that would last for hundreds of years. It still continues to this day, and the universe needs you to end this conflict!
Brave 3D object designer, it is time for you to take a side - join Polyguardians or Enraged Verticians. Design anything that could help your side win: spaceships, characters, buildings, vehicles, guns - you name it. Anything goes! And let the stronger side win. That’s right - the participants of the winning side will be awarded with a special prizes. However, the most stunning model and portfolio will be selected from all entries of the challenge.

Terms & Conditions
In order to qualify for the prize winnings, you must agree to terms & conditions.
Submission deadline: March 17, 2014, 23:59:00 PST
- 3D Scifi Challenge will run from the 31st of January, 2014, to the 17th of March, 2014.
- In order to participate you need to register on CGTrader, choose your preferable side on top of the challenge page and upload your scifi 3D designs through Publisher.
- Uploaded 3D files need to be tagged as "Polyguardians" or "Verticians" depending on which side you have chosen, so be sure to put the right tag!
- Once you've chosen side, you cannot change your mind. We keep an eye on the Universe and this battle - traitors will not be tolerated!
- Designs uploaded in the gallery are not treated as valid entries.
- Upon joining this challenge, you agree that your rendering scene might be used by sponsors for marketing (non commercial!) purposes.
- You can have as many entry models as you want.
- The challenge is open to everyone, including teams, legal entities and people from all over the world.
- Participating in the challenge and uploading downloadable 3D models to CGTrader platform is free of charge.
- All the entries must be original and not derivable.
- Employees and relatives of CGTrader and sponsor teams are not allowed to participate in this challenge.
- Any existing taxes or duties must be paid by the winner. CGTrader is not responsible for any illegal actions taken by the prize winners.

- We are independent sheriffs of this challenge, so stick to the rules and don't do anything stupid.

Do I need to upload files or only images of my 3D design?
You need to upload files and images of your 3D design in order to participate in the challenge.
How can I participate in the challenge?
Design awesome 3D model related to Science Fiction, choose your side and upload your design here on CGTrader. So simple and easy!
What if I put the required tag on my already published 3D model on CGTrader - do you treat it as a valid entry?
No. Only 3D models uploaded in the period from the 31st of January to the 17th of March 2014 will be treated as valid entries.
Do free 3D models participate in the challenge?
Yes, absolutely. Sharing artwork is always appreciated in the community.
Can I sell my 3D models which participated in other challenges elsewhere?
Yes. There are no restrictions on publishing and selling your models elsewhere.
Do price tags play any importance when entries are being judged?
No. But do not forget that the prices are always judged by the customers.
I want to participate in the challenge so I am going to delete my already uploaded models and upload them again to meet the "publishing period" requirement. Can I do that?
No. We are tracking every deleted and uploaded model, so it is useless to drive-through our requirements of the challenge.
