CGTrader Improvements Let Designers Improve Themselves

Good news to all CGTraders!

Last month we were thinking a lot about how could we improve our marketplace that it would be more practical for you. That is why we made a bunch of tools specially for you. They will make your trading experience at CGTrader even more comfortable and effective.

Here are the new features we integrated into your dashboard:

• Model widget
• Referral links
• Response time & rate

You can find the first two features in the referrals section of your profile menu.

So, let us introduce them to you!

Models widget

Are you self-centered? Great! Because overexposing is not a show-off if we are talking about business. Showing your models means advertising them. And if you show them in the right place at the right time - you can increase your sales of course. Therefore, we created a possibility for you to generate a widget which can contain up to 90 models. It is easy - just generate the embed code and use it wherever you want - in your website, in forums or anywhere else where you can leave an embedded link.

Referral links

Do you have 3D designer friends who still are not members of CGTrader? Very well then. Lucky you! Why? Because now you can invite them to join our community and you will earn some goodies. Each time someone registers on CGTrader via your personal referral link, you get rewarded +5 reputation points. Also, for each 3D model a person uploads to our marketplace, you get +2 reputation points and +1 CGTrader credit. Moreover, you will get +3 CGTrader credits each time a person you have invited makes a purchase. People who register through your referral link are also in for a treat! They will receive +10 CGTrader credits to get a headstart on their own sales.

Everything you need to do is to click one button or type an e-mail of a friend whom you want to invite to join CGTrader.

Response time & rate

Response rate and response time meters have been added to your public profile. Visitors of your profile will see whether you are responsible enough by the way you communicate. They will see how often you respond to their requests and what is the average time of your responses to messages. Response rate is calculated ONLY based on the first message you get. If you do not respond to the second (or any further) messages from the person who wrote you first, it will not affect your response rate.

Response time is calculated by how quick you reply to the requests and the subsequent messages. It has a few important aspects. First of all, if you do not reply to a request (the first message you received) for 2 days or more - it will affect your response time significantly. It will be calculated as 2 days. Secondly, you are not obliged to respond to the subsequent messages. Therefore, if someone writes you “Bye”, “Thanks” or something like that and you do not respond to that message - it will not affect your response time. And the last thing - the response rate and time of the person who starts the conversation is not being calculated.

We believe that this is a useful feature, because when you do peer-to-peer trading, it is essential to provide required information and communicate effectively. Thereby, it is better for you to answer requests constantly and fast - this will indicate that you are a reliable seller and will help you grow your business. Your potential buyers will see that you communicate and cooperate with the clients - so keep your response rate high and your response time low!
