Finally, the sky turned blue. And we keep moving forward. New Year-made promises are step by step being fulfilled within our team. The long-awaited new CGTrader's system has been launched in the beginning of April. CGTrader left the amazon model and went eBay. Our 3D object library is rapidly expanding: March has brought a tremendous amount of fresh and creative 3D models. Jeez, I am sure now, 3D allows you to design anything. Any-thing.

Extraordinary interior details, conceptual car models, anatomical layers, architectural solutions, simple, but genius household items, ancient reliefs, mind-blowing sculptures, dream followed cartoon characters, heady aircrafts, photorealistic portraits, whirling planets, UNESCO architectural heritage...Indeed, the world moves into 3D reality and God is no longer responsible for it. Our top of the Best 3D Models of March concentrates on different shapes, distinct techniques, innovation, thoroughness and meticulous work of 3D artists.

Statue of Poet

Spring brings some inspiration. And it is a great time to build a 3D monument for a writer. This one portrays Ukrainian poet and artist T. H. Shevchenko. The author of a model andromeda_vfx possesses a particular style designing objects straight from the cultural heritage list. This sculpture almost perfectly embodies an impressive personality of the weathercock, carrying his manuscript. I cannot stay objective in this case, so I think it's class. The quality is relieved through the details, full textures and a high level of realism. Honestly, at first it took me few moments to realise that it is not a photograph taken in the street, but a 3D rendering.

Relief

3D artist andromeda_vfx definitely strikes over others when modeling the ancient-like objects. This one contains high leveled textures, tiny details, touching lighting and portrays an important historical moment. A relief looks like an exibit stolen from a museum. Somehow you feel that it has a story. Maybe it was restaurated for several times, then lost somewhere and found again, some of the details have vanished together with the time, but these exact features make this 3D model real.

Teapot

I often say that simplicity hides genius. As 3D designers have a spoon as their blazon, kitchenware seems easy to model. But this antique teapot has totally bribed me with its completeness. A hi-poly object is designed by a new artist at CGTrader's community - CreativeAmarena. All the artwork by this author has a strong pulse of modernism. I am not a big fan of it, but. All the renderings clearly reflect it through the forms and shapes of objects, innovatory perspectives and tasteful minimalism.

Toon Ballerina

For me ballerinas are like fairy-tale characters. This game-ready dancer, designed by Ariana3D is prepared to jump straight into any kind of animation. Toon ballerina is clean topology model with vray materials used. Moreover, buying this model is like buying a doll. It additionally includes a pair of shoes, a dress and the earings. Ariana3D seems to be passionate about designing game-ready characters. Especially feminine ones. All of them have ripe lips, Bratz-doll style eyes and the peaceful sight. Almost digital barbies.

Basketball Arena

Yes, it's Humster3D artwork. Almost none of our tops or competitions can pass without works from their studio. Good for us. This 3D model is catching. Even if I am not playing a game of Gods - basketball. And I have never tried it actually. Nevertheless, this basketball arena is created accurately in real units and measurement and is extremely close to the original. No doubts, it looks like one. Appropriate shading and lighting, realistic textures and interesting preview images provide the highest quality to this model.

Leica X2

Nostalgia sells. It is the most common truth. In my opinion, photocameras are the ones to catch a feeling and later wake nostalgia up. Leica was introduced to the market at the the spring fair in Leipzig in 1925. This 3D model of Leica X2 is designed under the example of the old-good Leica's prototype. But it's already been years when undeveloped films were put into nostalgia boxes to store. 3D designer fisherman3d is new at our community, but there already are more than 60 his models uploaded to our system. Leica X2 is not the very first 3D photocamera model he has ever designed. There is a dozen of them. And it is clearly notable that he can do it. Because when you look at fisherman3d's rendering, you see adequate sizes and technically precise artwork. So...smile! Let's have a picture.

Living Room

Luxurious interiors are not my favourite ones. But they always astonish with the extremely high level of photorealism. This one has a great geometry and lots of details enabling to present it together with architectural visualisations. 3D artist fine3d is the maestro of 3D interiors. There is nothing he could not design: halls, conference rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, toilets or even space ships. All of them are fabulous, refined and contains too much of household. Anyway, working on this 3D model of a living room, definitely, requires more careful attention to the different types of materials, textures and forms which meet in one rendering.

Generic Male Skull

Definitely, human body and the whole complicated system hidden under the skin, has caught humanity's attention long centuries ago. So I could never resist analyzing skulls, bones, blood circles, respiratory or nervous systems. If you are not a doctor, there are always masses of pictures on the internet to surf through and few anatomical museums if you are lucky enough to find one. This 3D object was made by a new member stevejjd, whose 3D models show that he must be interested in human anatomy too. The author says that this skull was made after the extensive research in the field of anatomy. He thinks that it is vital to have the knowledge of a skull in order to understand the art of making human portait.

Toy Truck

Wooden toys always remind me a bad joke about difficult childhood. But this I guess is not the right moment to tell it. Anyway. This 3D model looks simple, even easy to make on your own, sticking real pieces of wood together. But it caught my attention immediately. 3D artist's Sendercorp's artwork reminds me a must-to-have boy toys' list: wooden trucks, metal ships, shinning flying saucers. Almost each of them can launch fire and attack. All of them reveal awareness of the form and texture. I am sure he knows what he designs and he does it good. One day I hope a toy manufacturer will find these models and start creating toys under this example.

McLaren P1 Concept 2013

There are no our monthly tops, which would not include a single car model. It is not me to be a vehicle fan, but the flow of 3D car models we are receiving every month is enormous. It becomes harder and harder to design cars: almost all of them already are in 3D space. So here comes a need of creativity. Actually, there is one tool, which always helps - futurism. 3D artist squir seems to know that pretty well. Squir has managed to design a just released McLaren's P1 Concept model in 3D. This 3D object is extremely accurate in terms of form and texture. It convinces with power. Moreover, I love the colour. By the way, this model is not the only one conceptual vehicle in squir's collection, so I am sure there are no problems concerning fantasy.

There it is our freshly baked top 10 models of March. And, guys, you must never stop improving your skills, excercise your imagination and look for the sources of inspiration. So, stay calm and render on.
