Colourful New Years' fireworks and sparkling wine...Seems it was a day before yesterday. But somehow more than one month has already passed by. Despite all the feast pleasures, our designers did not face any lack of inspiration.
So the good news is that CGTrader again represents the best 3D models of a month. Our New Year promise is to do it steadily. So we looked through the objects uploaded in January and evaluated them in terms of aesthetics, technique, level of realism and creativity. It was not that easy to choose only 10 best objects. But after some soft discussions a compromise was reached...
This object is made by quite new designer in our marketplace - vodafone2. The artist seems to prefer sofas a lot: they involve all of the uploaded objects. It is even better, because they are made in such a professional way. Fleury sofa is highly photorealistic and really thorough work. When you look at a picture, it is so easy to feel a natural wish to try it sitting by yourself.
Since we have seen this model, it was obvious that it will appear between the top objects of the month. Buddha, a designer of this statue is not really ordinary. Uploads of artist include statues of deities mostly. Moreover, all of them have a particular manner and it would be hard to mix with someone elses. This 3D model delights from a technical side, firstly: exact lines and clear understanding of the form is obvious.
Bireme bridge neoclassical structure
A place on the top was given to the particularly detailed bridge with riversides also. This neoclassical 3D object was created by Exnihilum. A designer is quite universal: objects vary from the espresso cheese cake to the electronic equipment rack. But it has no harm to skills in designing architectural models. The artist notices the smallest bricks in the wall, finds series of separate perspectives to the same object and is able to catch what sometimes is left unnoticed even by human's eye.
It was impossible to leave this kind of object out of the top, especially when there are two women in our team. High-heeled shoe was designed by Pumper, who is an experienced author in the CGTrader. A designer offers as much types of 3D objects as you can imagine. Obviously, this model is extremely realistic and well done technically. Girls of a team say that they would like to find these boots in the shop. Think about it.
This picture of a model definitely looks like a photograph from the Ancient Greek Museum. andromeda_vfx is a new author who's design distinguishes with delicacy. There are dwarfs, sculptures of sitting girls and other objects. It attracts with clear scene and allocated light. Accessory pictures of object provides much more profound view: there you can even find dried flowers on the bottom of a pot.
Everyone of us is more or less familiar with this character. It is designed by fabelar. Most of the author's 3D objects contain features from one or another popular cartoon. Obviously, his 3D model 'Donkey' is alive, charming and surprisingly accurate. Moreover, a designer offers to inspect all the possible angles of an object. You just look and wait until a donkey starts the noise.
Spalding NBA Official Basketball Game Ball
For some people basketball is a religion, indeed. So it is not easy to resist turning orange game ball. This 3D object is a perfect sphere with almost touchable disparity of the surface. At first glance a game ball could appear just simple. But simplicity hides the genius. A model was designed by well-known author of ours cgshape. It is important to notice that the author's design work also took a position as a week's best sold 3D model.
It is quite natural that at least one 3D car model will take a position on a top list. Actually it was pretty difficult to choose that only one. By the way, a wide variety of 3D cars' models is uploaded by a one designer - humster3d. The artist's artwork is reffered to the technologies mostly: cell phones, cars, trucks or motorbikes. For us Ford Ranger looked a little bit different among others and definitely planted a feeling of force. Moreover, a vivid colour has its' own impact.
Starship interior - conference room
This 3D model is enlisted according to the level of creativity, firstly. Designing an interior for the starship requires more imagination than designing a soup spoon. On one hand an interior could remind some conference halls in modern buildings, but on the other hand it gives a sense of limitless space. Modern minimalism is highly important aspect of this object. A designer, FattyPants, seems to be well acquainted with modeling of space ships: they dominate in all the uploaded 3D models of a designer.
We really do not care if unicorns do not exist. Designing has no limits. This strange couple interested us as an extremely good example of applying textures and having a great sense of proportions. Moreover, it is very realistic and includes lots of details. Design works of Bondiana are suitable as objects for the computer games mostly. According to this the author must be pretty good in history: old weapons, buildings and possessions are among artist's uploaded objects.
