3D Challenge: Designer Schwag is over and the winners are…

In the end of summer we closed one of the most complex 3D design challenges on CGTrader so far Designer Schwag. After all the technical reviews, countless emails, iterations, and long discussions we finally have the winners!

In this challenge we had two categories - best model and best portfolio, each with three winners to be announced. So here are the best ones who managed to submit more than 2 models that are both of high aesthetic value and meet all of the technical requirements.

3rd place in the portfolio category and the prize of 500$ goes to CGFactory, who has created a number of stationary items for the challenge, all of which had an exceptional quality in both the models themselves and in their presentation. CGFactory models are something to really look at if you want to perfect your model presentation on CGTrader! And here are a few models submitted by CGFactory for the challenge.

$1,000 prize and the 2nd place in best portfolio category is awarded to vertexlagoon. Although the count of models is smaller, the interesting choice of subject matter, the high quality and the unique attention to detail has given some really amazing results...

And THE best portfolio award, 1st place and the $1,500 in cash goes to cgseeds. The author seems to be a cigar afficianado, and we definitely love his 3D models. Cigars, lighters, humidors, a touch of vintage style, clear presentation and the quality of textures pushed cgseeds to the top. Congratulations to the winner and here is a bit of inspiration from cgseeds to all:

The jury of five people representing both CGTrader and Adobe teams have had quite a hard time deciding on the best of the best, but here are the final decisions.

3rd place in the best model category goes to figsterand his Executive Accordion Briefcase. Figster is awarded $500 and a complimentary year subscription to Photoshop by Adobe.

CGseeds wins one more prize - 2nd place in best model category for lighter brass. This nominations brings the author $1000 and a complimentary year subscription to Creative Cloud by Adobe.

And the 1st place award for the best model in the Designer Schwag challenge, $1500 and and a complimentary year subscription to Creative Cloud by Adobe go to vertexlagoon and the model Classic Leather Wine Box.

While we could not award everyone, we really hope you will be happy about the sales of your submissions as the assets are now available on CGTrader and Adobe Stock. We are also running an Abstract Elements challenge on CGTrader with similar, amazing prizes, so don’t miss your chance to shine!

Note: there are still a few assets missing in the entries section and Adobe Stock that will appear shortly. Nevertheless, none of the assets were excluded from voting and technical aspects were checked prior to creating the shortlist and selecting winners.
