3D Prints On Paper: Something You Could Create For Staples 3D Printing Challenge
Insight
As you probably know, we have an interesting challenge going on at the moment - Staples 3D Printing Challenge. If you are not aware of it - you are welcome to find out about it right here. And if you already decided to participate, you should check the tutorial.
However, if you are still hustling in search for a great idea which you could fulfill for this challenge, CGTrader.com is here to help you!
Here are a few abstract suggestions of what could you create. We hope, that it will help you. Believe us, it's worth trying - in case, you didn't know yet - the winner will get 1000 EUR!
Have you ever wondered - how would your head look if you could put it on your table? Or maybe you wanted to put it on any other body - for example, on the body of Roman soldier or Egyptian princess?
Moreover, do you remember those action dolls with stupidly moving enormously huge heads? So, here is what we suggest - a mini version of a celebrity. Do a matryoshka doll with a half of Putin and a half of Obama. Create something funny, that people could print and keep on their desktop for entertainment!
The best thing you could do is creating a customizable version - people like to have mini versions of themselves.
have you ever played with all those scale cars? Well, I did. When I was a kid, there was nothing more exciting than a new toy car to get as a present!
Well, boys will be boys, huh? It would be nice to print a little version of my own car. Or a scale model of any really hot car. For example, Chevrolet Camaro. Also, Formula One, WRC or Nascar is "kind of" popular sport, you know...
Yeah... No... We can't suggest you to sit on a very small 3D printed chair. But, we can suggest you to create such a chair as an office tool. Imagine that someone prints this baby and puts in as a card holder, for example. Or (if it is big enough) - as a coaster for a coffee mug. People love all stuff which is beautiful and useful. Need an idea? Think about the office.
Fruits look good wherever you put them (remember Apple?): on a table, on a shelf, in the kitchen. Especially - when you are in the office during the dark and cloudy day of winter.
Fruits are something from a warm and sunny place. So it could take your mind far far away into the paradise of tropics. A nice trifle to have in the eyesight - that's what you should model.
Imagine CEO of a big successful company sitting in front of you. What can you offer to him? A souvenir which he could give as a present to his business associates, of course!
Now, do not limit yourself with tire manufacturers or airlines (if you're looking to this picture too long), but create something that could be fitted to a company which creates a widely used product. Conquer the market with market!
To be... or not to be... in the class of biology! Yes, 3D prints could be a valuable visual material for lecturers to use. Years ago, those plastic skulls and other examples which were important to see live and hold in hands were expensive and sometimes - hard to get.
Nowadays all of you, 3D designers, have the power to change the game completely. Low-cost printings are more than welcome in high-school, colleges and universities all over the planet! I don't know if your teachers would have used such material, but I know, that my teacher would like to get one of these for sure!
Dear designers, here are just a few abstract popular examples of what could be created for this challenge. Be creative, stay rational and have viability on your mind! However, we know that you will surprise us once again and bring here the most incredible ideas. Feel free (and strongly encouraged) to blow these suggestions away with something from outside of the box. Good luck!
