DESCRIPTION

this set is composed of two families of elements, the rocket and the launch pad.

The rocket:

On a 0.5 litre Perrier bottle base.

The aileron part comes to the neck area.

The ring comes on the bottom of the bottle, the head cap is simply placed on this ring.

This cap is used to cover a parachute so that it is released when the spacecraft falls (unfortunately, placing it in orbit is difficult at this stage of the project's development).

To make the parachute, I use a thin plastic (biodegradable vegetable pouch). A square of 45 cm of side is cut out then small knots are made at each angle. A thread of 25-30 cm is tied at each of these angles.

Each of these four strands will be hooked into the holes provided for this purpose on the ring.

The propulsion system is made with a (wine) bottle stopper. It is used to accommodate a rigid tube which is connected to an air pump.

As shown in the pictures the bottle is upside down. The claws hold it in place. The ring locks it in place. To release the rocket the ring is lowered with a blow of string through the eyelets.

The spacers (high or low) serve as a stop for the plug. The plug remains on the base plate during ejection.

I recommend you to be vigilant and to wear protective glasses because in this configuration the bottle is propelled at a height of 10 meters.
