Bronchial tree 3d model for 3d printing CFD and FEA

Bronchial tree 3d model for 3d printing CFD and FEA 3D print model

Description

Bronchial tree anatomy for 3d printing CFD and FEA.

A bronchus or bronchial tree is a passage or airway in the respiratory system that conducts air into the lungs. The first bronchi to branch from the trachea are the right main bronchus and the left main bronchus, also known as the primary bronchi. These are the widest and enter the lungs at each hilum, where they branch into narrower secondary bronchi or lobar bronchi, and these branch into narrower tertiary bronchi or segmental bronchi. Further divisions of the segmental bronchi are known as 4th order, 5th order, and 6th order segmental bronchi, or grouped together as subsegmental bronchi. The bronchi when too narrow to be supported by cartilage are known as bronchioles. No gas exchange takes place in the bronchi.

Size:385*385*50mm

The model provides a 3d geometry to be used in finite element analysis or computational fluid dynamics.

The model is provided in three formats : STL, STEP, IGES and OBJ.

3 variations are provided a watertight solid 'filled' , a 1mm wall thickness shell and a zero thickness surface.

The model has been simplified and optimized for 3d printing.

To be used for educational purposes and 3d printing applications.

Ideal for use in medical teaching environments.

Good morning. Hello. Are the dimensions of the models approximate to the real ones?

Hello. I have some questions: 1. Are these dimensions similar to human? Was the project based on anatomy books or human imaging exams? 2. Would it be possible to build the model only up to the third generation, that is, trachea-main bronchi - lobar bronchi (10 bronchi on each side), without the other branches? 3. Is it hollow inside, that is, free for liquid flow?

hello , the first gengrations are close to duman sizes ones, yes there is a possibility to cut down the model to the needed position and the model is provided witht a hollow version to permit liquid flow. please contact me via direct messages for further questions or requirments
