Small Castle squared base

Small Castle squared base 3D print model

Description

Hello, continuing the medieval saga, this is a (small) Castle. The castle in object is a square based one, small (high of the walls building is comparable the length and it is more bound to the “romantic” idea of castle than the historic one (let me know if you are looking for something more historical accurate. This typology of castle is the one that was developed in North Europe around centuries IX/XII (see the first settlement of the Tower of London as example). Here the proposal is a small model (can fit in FDM printer) that doubles as low polygon CG model. As you see it has larges windows (impractical in reality) and a large gate in the entrance. The towers have battlements and are thin with the paths for the surveillance on top. There is also a small bailey inside the court, more realistic (I believe) than the keep it would be there in reality. The drawbridge has been substituted with a still bridge, for containing the number of polygons. For facilitating the 3d printing, there are no hanging part outside the guards of the tower. The model is great for scenes and dioramas, will certainly enrich that composure. Another use I believe it could be great would be in games because it’s ready to be use and doesn’t need many different textures (it’s an all in one piece). If you want to make something even more sophisticated, there is always the possibility to complete it with curtain walls, making it a much majestic building with very little effort (ask me if interested). This piece is just an unicum in it’s nature, I am proposing it because I am realizing a collection based on medieval buildings, good both for 3d printing (scenes/dioramas) and low polygon CG (games etc). If you want it modified somehow feel free to ask me.
