VESPA PIAGGIO 125 - 1951 FIRST MODEL
I was born in the same town of the designer who creates the VESPA. A dear friend of mine, Mao Casella, some year ago designed and shared here his own version of the most famous scooter in the world. Actually, Mao isn't yet with us... Wish you where here my friend. So I decided to re design with precision the absolute FIRST MODEL of the VESPA 125 born in 1951, just after the II World War. The model that started all the history of PIAGGIO, the Italian Icon of a way of life. I spend a lot of time to optimize this model for 3D printing, so the entire project is expecially conceived to be printed with a 0.4 Nozzle, and all the parts to fit in the volume 200x200x200 mm of the common desktop printers. It was a long job, considering no one ever did before. I used the authentic Blue Prints from PIAGGIO and placed the real VESPA pictures under my CAD plans to copy all the stuff exactely as it was. I only made changes to improve the printing quality, or if the parts where to small to be printed. The model in the scale I choosed should be 27 cm long. I printed all the parts accurately to be sure they work well (tolerances OK), and everything is right if you use supports and High Resolution printing(I suggest 0.1 mm). The assembly is very easy, the original model was painted in Metallic Green. Hope you enjoy this Masterpiece of Design!
