The Ohio Class SSBN has been in service since 1981 and is scheduled to be replaced by the Columbia Class starting in 2031. It is armed with 20 Trident I C4 SLBMs or 20 Trident II D5 SLBMs. I designed this model with locator holes of different sizes (noted in the instructions) so that brass rod or tubing can be inserted to ensure a accurate and flush fit, but you can drill out most holes to a diameter of your choosing. The Conning Tower (Sail) comes in two versions, one without masts and one with. It was very difficult to figure out which mast configuration was on which sub, since information online was not consistent online, so I did my best to make it look OK. A small instruction set is included for assembly.
This is a very large hollow model, but it is sectioned to fit (hopefully) on most printers. The longest piece (or tallest since hull pieces will be printed vertically) is 250mm. The length of the assembled submarince is 1157mm or 45.5 inches. The base measures 1176 x 132mm (46.2 x 5.2 inches) so it would be an impressive piece dominating your shelf. There are some small pieces, such as the conning tower masts and screw, that would benefit from being printed on a resin printer.
An RC conversion may be possible, however I'm not an RC sub guy. If there are those who want this in an RC configuration, let me know what are your needs. Extra charges will apply for large changes or reconfigurations.
