The C-130 Hercules is a tactical transport aircraft designed for use as close as possible to the theater of operations. This aircraft is characterized by a multi-wheel landing gear perfectly suited to poorly landscaped terrain, a high wing carrying the engines, swept tailplanes and a ventral loading ramp allowing access to the cargo hold. It constitutes the backbone of air transport near the front, both for the transport of equipment and for the dropping of paratroopers.
