Japanese Tone Class Cruiser Warship

Japanese Tone Class Cruiser Warship 3D print model

Description

1/1800th scale Tone Class Cruiser model. Certain elements not to scale.

The Tone-class were a pair of ships originally intended to be the fifth and sixth members of the Mogami-class. However, before they were laid down, some design flaws in the Mogami-class had been revealed so they were redesigned and re-designated into their own class. All of their main guns were put in front of the superstructure, allowing the rear deck to house a large number of scout floatplanes. The Tone-class carried eight eight-inch guns and eight five-inch guns along with a number of smaller anti-aircraft armament.

This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.

Tested with PLA at .08mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.

Update 23 Mar 19: Replaced incorrect Town files with correct Tone files. Update 07 Aug 19: Added boats and ancchor chains. Update 15 Jul 23: Resized model to correct scale based on customer feedback.

Since the size when printed is not precisely 1:1800th, correction is necessary. The actual length of Tone is 201.6m and when scaled down to 1:1800th it should be 11.2cm, but this miniature is 10.5cm long. To make it 1:1800th size, it is good to enlarge it to 106.6% when printing.
