Historical Note: Minas Geraes was a Brazilian battleship operated by the Brazilian Navy and named in honor of Minas Gerais state. Built by the Armstrong Whitworth in Newcastle upon Tyne, his works began in April 1907 and it was released in September of the following year, being commissioned in April 1910 and making Brazil the third country in the world to have a battleship in his navy. It was modernized between 1935 and 1939. It was in active service until 1952, being decommissioned on September 20, 1953 and later dismantled.
