Intended for 3d print.
World War 2-era Italian Armored Car. This model pack includes three Autoblinda versions.
Ab 40, with a twin 8mm machinegun-turret
Ab 41, with a 20mm autocannon
Ab 43, with a 47mm anti-tank gun
The car body is identical for all three, only the turret changes. Historically, the Ab 40 was hardly used and quickly replaced by the Ab 41, while the Ab 43 never went beyond prototype stage. In total, about 600 Autoblindas were built. They were mainly used for reconnaissance, escort and security duties.
Printing instructions
High printer settings is recommended. The models are not currently pre-supported. You can contact me if you need help adding supports to the models. In that case, I can upload pre-supported versions of all included .stls to the product free of charge.
The armored cars requires little assembly, since there are few separate parts involved. The car body and tires print as a single model, and then you only need to print a turret of choice that you then glue to the body to make a finished model. There is a jerry can .stl and additional spare tire .stl included in the product, but these are completely optional. Overall this is a model pack with limited potential for customization, but compensates for this by being relatively easy to print.
The default scale of the .stls when uploaded into your slicer will be approximately 28mm. But you can easily change the size of the models. The models print reasonably well down to 6mm scale, though depending on the quality of your printer you may experience diffulties getting the more delicate parts of the models to print properly at 6mm.
