Description

Designed from scratch is a set of Ghost style bar grilles for a 1964 Chevy Impala, high in detail, ideal for scale modeling (currently in 1/24 and 1/25 scale).

The set comes with the grille which fits the Revell Lowrider SS kit or similiar, and has style;

  • plain Ghost grille
  • plain Ghost grille with IMPALA lettering
  • plain Ghost grille with Bullets
  • plain Ghost grille with Bullets and IMPALA lettering
  • spare IMPALA lettering

Updates;3x additional grille versions with extra vertical grille supports

Perfect for those custom lowrider builds builds!

Please keep in mind these are delicate pieces to print and handle, but they do print. Best orientation is upright slightly tilted sideways and backwards (5-10 degrees). Light supports manually placed at the rear joins of the barsis ideal for a cleaner look.

It may be ideal to check your messages prior to replying to customer feedback , as I have sent a request for assistance after my fourth failed print. All four designs have the same issue. With the two outer vertical supports on the rear of the grill having the gap is possibly causing the print to warp. Possibly adding some more supports on the rear and an overall increase in thickness of the grill would help. Cheers!

Apologies if you did. I couldn’t find the request but the priority is solving regardless. I will upload a couple of photos of the printed item on a build - I usually test them before listing. I do mention in this listing that they are very delicate as it did take a few design attempts to get it printable. I will look at a few versions with some beefed up supports. They should be available by tonight.. Thanks

I 've recently purchased this file, and all though it does print, just does not print well. The design is too thin and lacks bracing in weak areas. I have tried the recommended angles and supports, as well as decreasing my lift and retract speeds. Results are warped.

It’s ideal to contact designers if you are having difficulty printing their items to provide an opportunity to solve before going direct to negative feedback posting. Printing is not always straight forward, and delicate designs can make it harder. There are 4 designs in the listing, they have successfully printed and are on mine and other customers builds. If you can share more details on which design option, where it is failing, I can suggest print options or look at options to reinforce.
