The Time Machine

The Time Machine 3D print model

Description

H. G. Wells' Time Machine as seen in the 1960 american science fiction film directed by George Pal.

Here's an accurate and high detailed 3d model based on the movie itself, production blueprints found on the internet and photos of current replicas of the original prop.

*** Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have before making the purchase. ***

Pre-supported stl's and assembly instructions included.

An inventor in Victorian England constructs a machine that enables him to travel into the distant future; once there, he discovers that mankind's descendants have divided into two species, the passive, childlike, and vegetarian Eloi and the underground-dwelling Morlocks, who feed on the Eloi.

George Pal, who had made the first film version of Wells' The War of the Worlds (1953), always intended to make a sequel to The Time Machine, but he died before it could be produced; the end of Time Machine: The Journey Back functions as a sequel of sorts.

Please, if you like the product, rate it. Thank you in advance.

Update (12/22/2021): jneps (Thank you, Jeff!) suggested a version of the big rear dish with smooth surface to facilitate the application of decals. I included it as an option in a separate file.

What scale does this happen to be in?

The part labeled Upper Lamp is damaged and the slicer doesn't show part of the brackets surrounding the bulb in preview mode and won't print properly. Update: The author quickly supplied a replacement part for use with FDM printers and it works great!

I already gave you a solution for this, please make that clear so that others don't think that the model is actually damaged.

Between part diagrams 17 & 19 I think you forgot to add the small dish that's added to the axle. Only shows up at the end on 19.

Sorry for that, but you clearly figured it out for yourself! Cheers.

The designer should have specified in the description that this model was not intended for FDM printing. That being said, he went out of his way to tweak a couple of parts for me so I could get them printed on my Bambu Lab P1S. There were a couple of fussy parts that needed special care, but I think overall, it was an excellent model and I have received much praise for the results. The photos and assembly instructions were very helpful in assembling the model. Note to FDM printers with AMS or similar systems, I "painted" the parts that had white on black lettering (generator), white on black slices (end caps), and even the red bulb inside the copper housing and let the printer do the hard work! Wish I could post a photo. Many thanks again to the designer.

All in all an nice to build model. Some of the pre-supportet parts should be supported by myself, but at last everything fits well together. Great job. I think I will make an second one for myself, maybe at 125%. This one was an gift to a friend.
