Starwars AT-ST

Starwars AT-ST 3D print model

Description

Starwars AT-ST.Another addition to my growing fleet of starwars vehicles. this fella stands unsupported at 730mm, the roof is removable to view cockpit which will have the equipment bay fitted out in the near future, toes, neck, top hatch and side weapons all move. this was a fun build.stl files modelled at 1/48th scale, this model is scaled up to 400% which makes it 1/18th scale.model consists of 111 stl files in seperate folders for each part of the model, also included are drawings and photos showing the construction of a metal framework for the legs, this is optional but if you want to put the metal skeleton in the drawings should help.there is a file called Jigs that can help with the orientaion of the holes but to be honest i found the easiest way was to print out the lage parts then measure and fit the metal bars to fit and using a sharp point scribe the hole locations then drill and file to shape.all cross bars are dimensioned.

I know it mentions toes being able to move but are the legs in a fixed position then ?

Yes the legs are in a fixed position if you build it at 400% as tgats how the metal skeleton thats needed to support it but if its printed smaller and no skeleton is used then the legs could be fixed in different positions

Awesome work! If printing in 400% - How big of a printer area do you need then? would 210x210x250 work? :)

Thanks, this was printed using a 300 x 300 build plate i think most parts would fit on 210x210x250 but a few leg some of the longer leg and body parts would need to be split in order to fit.

Awesome! I just pulled everything into the slicer and scaled it to 400%. Seems only 3 part doesn’t fit in which I can live with and just split one way or another. How would you recommend to print the non plat panel parts for example? Standing up with supports?

Yeah standing up is how i did them with some support, you get a better finish.

It's exactly what I was looking for - instead of me drawing it myself. Although I do have some problems enlarging it, because my build plate is too small (Anycubic Photon Mono X) for the cockpit sides.
