Is there a preferred orientation for FDM printing? It seems these are best done on SLA/Resin, but for FDM, recommendations to get best print quality?
This is a concept / kitbashed design of the USS Enterprise as featured in Star Trek Discovery. The design came about when studying the USS Shenzhou and thinking that the warp nacelles would look cool on the USS Enterprise and realizing they had a Refit Enterprise style. Various other elements from the Shenzhou, as well as the Discovery herself, were kitbashed into this design. The model was then broken up into sections for easy 3D printing. I recommend printing with supports.
The final size of the model as currently scaled is 35cm long x 16cm wide x 7.5cm tall
The zip file contains six individual STL files to construct the ship:
