21 Oct 2023 update: I've added a few extras and improvements
Lore The Scylla Light Tank is not as popular for reconnaissance duties as the more ubiquitous recon walkers, but many armored regiments prefer them as they share most components in common with the Kimera transport, allowing for simplified logistics. Resource-rich regiments which favor mass often employ the Scylla as large formations with green crew to probe in front of the main uncovering enemy positions, locating minefields, or proving the suitability of the ground for heavier armored vehicles. Service in such reconnaissance units is seen as a rite of passage for armored crew. If the one-man crew of a Scylla manages to survive several engagements they will have proven themselves as a driver, gunner, loader, and even tank commander, worthy of assignment to more valuable armored vehicles. Other regiments may employee the Scylla in elite units with highly trained crew and advanced sensor suite. Tank-hunter units are often formed to hunt in packs, utilizing powerful laser cannons and Seeker Destroyer guided missiles.
Model The Scylla Light Tank is best known as an esoteric conversion from a plastic armored transport kit. It was typically used as a proxy for an armored sentinel. Now you can just print them, rather than chop up a perfectly good plastic kit. This kit is fully compatible with some of my other releases such as the GROWS kit and Heresy Transport Turrets.
I’ve also included 6mm and 8mm single-piece models in this release for all those Epic game enjoyers out there.
Length: ~3.5 inches or 90mm Width: ~2.5 inches or 70mm Height: ~1.75 inches or 45mm
It will fit on an 80mm base (not included). Obviously this is not the same size as a Sentinel. The difference in silhouette and LOS may cause consternation with some players. This miniature is probably not tournament legal, as is the case with most 3d-printed miniatures. Pre-supported, as always. I’ve also included the original Lychee files, in case you want to modify the supports without starting over. The Lychee file also contains a hollow version of the hull. Supports have been tested on a Phrozen Mighty 8k with Anycubic Eco grey resin.
