Leonidas class battleship are the aging backbone of the UNN fleet. They are the result of a poorly funded fleet modernization program. As a result they have inefficient Epstein drives, railguns that can not fire under thrust, point defense cannons with outdated targetting suit and relatively small number of single-fire torpedo tubes. Despite its cons, a Leonidas class battleship brings versatility to naval and marine operations with its wide array of weapons and a marine detachment with 8 M-type dropships.
