The iconic Patt 123 was designed by Strand Electric who were founded in 1914 in London’s West End and had their manufacturing works in Covent Garden. The Patt 123 or Baby Fresnel spotlight, was one of the work horses of the theatre industry from the late 50’s to the 1980’s Launched in 1957 they are the companion lantern to the hugely successful Patt 23 Baby Profile spot. The first lanterns off the line were rushed into service to light the original London production of My Fair Lady at the Drury Lane Theatre in London’s West EndStrand lanterns were very solidly constructed and built to last. These lanterns were constructed around a strong diecast alloy body shell.
The real thing is 265mm nose to tail, this model is designed to be printed 26.5mm.There are two tiny holes that will allow you to thread a 5mm led through the base to look like a lamp.I didnt model a reflector, and Preview1 shows me dangling the damp upside down from its H stand because it photographed better
I suggest printing the fixture face down, lifted off the bed with supports to avoid elephant foot deformationand printing the stand flat on the bed no extra supports (tho you see I added my own because my slicer insisted on adding a support that touched all the way up the yoke)
I painted mine with scale 75 Heavy Metal
