DESCRIPTION

Based on the brief depiction of Rick Sanchez as a crow based warrior in season 5 of the 'Rick and Morty' animated series, the Crow Katana is a 3D recreation of Rick's anime sized katana. Modeled in detail, reproducing the design and relative proportions of katana, the default scale is just over 100mm. Despite the small size, it has been modeled to be scaled. Size it up in the slicer to achieve the desired print size. The katana has been provided in pieces, grip, hilt, gems, gem setting, and blade. In addition, the blade has been broken up into 3 pieces (Base / Mid / Tip), making it possible to print at larger scale on most common printers. Print 4 segment pegs to connect the blade parts

If printing for lifesize use, 7 to 9 times the default scale should size it to a relatively realistic human scale, which is still somewhat outlandish. I'd suggest 20 to 35% infill at large sizes, limiting wieght and material use. It should be fine to print with 100% infill at default and 2 to 4 times default, depending on need.

Suggested orientation:
  1. Print Blade oriented on up angle or along blade spine.
  2. Print grip flattest end down or down at angle.
  3. Print hilt at angle, relative to thin side to limit support marks on widest faces.
  4. Print gems bottom side angled down to limit surface marks from supports.
  5. Print at 0.05 to 0.1 layer height for cleanest surface. Enable adaptive layer height option in slicer, if available.
