kriegtime2022-03-15 12:48:01 UTCExcellent model.
I printed this is resin and have a fair bit of experience. It can be a tough print in some cases. Be aware that the hands need to be supported very well and oriented correctly on the print bed. I walked through the layer by layer slider on Chitubox and still missed a support my first attempt. Like so many other models I think the head and torso could have been printed in 1 piece. The separate head piece posed a challenge to me as I could not get a seamless fit at the neck. The post portion of the head is never going to fit exactly as residual resin, curing variation etc will expand the post slightly. I tried to sand it down and considered using putty and sanding but it is a very tight space to work in. I finally completely cut off the post and mated 2 smooth surfaces (torso and head) together. That worked well. Putty was needed (very small amount at the hands. The base printed great but hollow it out and place a drain hole or you will get resin trapped in the base. The LOL nameplate came out great and the bit of hair that prints separately came out excellent.
Overall, a great design. Kudos to this designer and I would definitely buy again.
Summary:
1) Great print
2) One piece option would be nice so we could slice it ourselves
3) Support the hands carefully
motheblackcat2021-12-21 23:12:39 UTCVery similar to the Jinx model:
- Great model, good mix of cartoon / details close to the original game model.
- It prints great and easily with the proper supports, 3 passes like Jinx on Mars 2 Pro (Body, Base and Head / Logo / Hands / Hair to finish)
- Small problem the Base "pylon" is bigger than the hole in Vi's Bust so it has to be filled / cut down or increase the hole in Vi's bust (I can't since it printed it hollowed to save resin)
- The rest assemble fine!
