Megalodon

Megalodon 3D print model

Description

Megalodon was a massive prehistoric shark that lived during the Cenozoic era, approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago. Measuring up to 18 meters (59 feet) in length, it was the largest shark to have ever existed. Megalodon had a robust, torpedo-shaped body and a powerful tail, which made it an efficient swimmer. Its jaws were filled with large, serrated teeth, some over 18 centimeters (7 inches) long, capable of crushing the bones of large marine animals. Megalodon's diet likely consisted of whales, large fish, and other marine mammals. Fossils of Megalodon, including teeth and vertebrae, have been found worldwide, providing significant insights into the diversity and adaptations of prehistoric marine predators.
