Irritator challengeri was a spinosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 113 to 100 million years ago. Measuring about 8 meters (26 feet) in length, it had a distinctive elongated skull with conical teeth, suggesting it was adapted for catching fish. Irritator also had a long, narrow snout and strong forelimbs, with evidence of a possible sail or ridge along its back. Its fossils were discovered in Brazil, specifically in the Romualdo Formation, contributing significantly to our understanding of the diversity and adaptations of spinosaurid dinosaurs.
