BATGIRL figurine Infantino iconic pose

BATGIRL figurine Infantino iconic pose 3D print model

Description

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE DOWNOLADING: This model is recommended for Kit Builders, it requires skills in the modelling hobby, it's not a 'print and go' item.

Figurine of the DC character Batgirl, as imagined by Carmine Infantino in 1967. The pose comes from a drawing taken from a Batman issue, the one of her debut. Why this pose?, because Aurora Models was said to produce this kit (some fan even made a box-art ) but never realeased.Files are three, figure, bike and base with logo. It's almost a 1/8 scale.Problems are that it's difficult to place the figure exactly on the bike, so that she grips the handlebar and touching the lower side with her right foot. This is mainly due to 2 problems:1) To fit most printers you'll have to split the body in two, and when glueing the parts there will be some discrepancy.2) Resin retraction when curing may cause gaps of millimeters. So you will have to work to adapt the ensemble, maybe just some sanding, or split an arm to change the angle.Besides, both thumbs have to be cut before posing the hands, and then glued to close the grip. I've printed 3 as far now and each one had dfferent 'small' issues, But this is common even with resin garage kits or some Aurora models themselves.
