The Sherry Netherland Hotel is a 560ft (171m) tall skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan designed by Schultz & Weaver. This Romanesque building opened its doors in 1927 as the tallest residential building in the world. Its uniquely shaped sloped roof hides the hotel's water tower. For over 80 years, it has towered over the southern edge of Central Park.
