The Park Row Building is a 391ft (119m) tall skyscraper in New York City that was built in 1899. Although it is now surrounded in every direction by much taller buildings, this highrise was once the tallest commercial building in the world. It is the oldest still-existing building to have once held the title. Designed by R. H. Robertson in a neo-classical style, the building towers above Lower Manhattan's City Hall Park along a street that was once known as Newspaper Row. Today, the building has converted to residential use.
