The Bankers Trust Building is a 540ft (160m) tall skyscraper in New York City's Financial District. The tower was built as one of the city's earliest major skyscrapers, completed in 1912 as the city's 3rd tallest building. The building's design by Trowbridge & Livingston features neoclassical ornamentation and a tall colonnades rising up several stories at the base and top of the tower. Its crown features a stepped pyramid that harkens back to the architecture of ancient temples. The building stands tall at a prominent corner along Wall Street, just a few feet away from Federal Hall and the New York Stock Exchange Building.
