The Baltimore Trust Building, now known as the Bank of America Building, is a 509ft (155m) tall skyscraper in Baltimore, Maryland. Built in 1929, this building, designed by Fisher & Taylor, opened as one of the tallest outside New York City. Its elaborate ornamentation may appear to be mostly gothic at first glance; however, a closer look reveals the building to be unmistakably art deco. The tower's flamboyant design, festooned with stylized eagles and humans across its height, culminates in a lustrous copper and gold crown.
