The light and graceful structure of the ring is based on a single wire shape spread across the ring. Using a parametric design program, I placed an elipse defined by three points around the cross section of the ring. I drew this ellipse onto the ring. This creates the curved line that serves as the base for the wire. This single wire element lies x-times around the ring and mirrored and slightly rotated (360°:x:2) another time.
The ring is ring size 58 (circumference) and has a cross section of 5.3mm. The wire is 1.3mm thick. The volume of the ring is 592 cubic millimeters. You can scale the ring to fit your and your partners finger. Suitable for 3D printing (such as sls, sla, fdm) and wax casting.
