The promise ring, also known as the eternity ring, is given to a loved one as a gift that represents lifelong commitment and love. Eternity bands are not a particular kind of setting per se; rather they are a style of band that is often used for women’s wedding bands or other special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and Valentine’s Day.
