Apostle Andrew the First-Called is one of the twelve apostles, disciples of Jesus Christ; according to the Gospel of John, he was the first to be called by Jesus Christ, so he was nicknamed First-Called. In the lists of apostles given in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, he occupies the second place after his brother, the apostle Peter, but in the Gospel of Mark - the fourth place.
On the reverse side of the pendant is the cross of Calvary.
The ornaments on the pendant are taken from the ornaments on the walls of the ancient church of St. Sophia of Kiev built by Yaroslav the Wise.
