size 10Joseph of Nazareth was the father of Jesus and husband of the Virgin Mary. He starred in one of the fundamental dogmas of the Catholic Church: the perpetual virginity of the Virgin Mary. God entrusted him with the divine mission of being the father of his son on earth. He is considered the holy custodian of the holy family. He was a man with a simple life who dedicated himself to fulfilling God's plan and accompanied the path of salvation that God proposed to humanity through his son. He characterized as a simple, grateful, silent and obedient man. His festivity is celebrated on March 19 of each year. He is the patron of carpenters. His life and work are condensed in the New Testament of the Bible, in the Gospels of Saint Matthew and Saint Luke. His attributes are: the baby Jesus in his arms, the flowered rod, a lily, a wooden cane and the carpenter's saw.
