What size light are you using in the photograph?

I really like this model, but I wish it were broken into two pieces so that it could be printed larger. I'm apparently not skilled enough to do it and am frustrated.

I did some more reading on .stl and why what I'm trying to do is not going to work well for SW. I'm new to both 3DP and CAD in general. Are you able to supply the design file in another format that might work with SW? otherwise I'll have to import the .stl into 123D Design or something like that, which I'm not yet familiar with. I would prefer to be able to use a solid model in SW then export my own .stl for printing if thats possible.

Hi, I'm trying to import the design into Solidworks. I'm only just starting with SW, but I'm selecting .STL file open and have tried opening as graphics body and the design appears but I can't seem to edit it. I tried opening as solid body and surface body and the parser says "too many surfaces". Can you suggest a way that I can get the design into SW, or is it possible for you convert the file to another format that SW can open? What program did you use to create the design? Thanks.
