Have you ever seen a hinge made from wood ? maybe, sure they are not that commun anymore but nothing to crazy yet. Well imagnie cutting a hinge from a single 1'' board then cuting both side before prying it open. That's right the roubo book stand is made from a single board carved and cut to form a hinge, the X shape is then used to hold books, phone, tablette etc.Sure you could try this woodworking challenge, it is fun and usedful or you could also 3D print it first try and to the scale you need.
