Modular Home Hexagon Wall Shelf 3D print model

This is a modular home hexagon wall shelf. This allows you to print as many shelves as you need to store what you have. Each shelf has six dovetail joints allowing it to attach to other shelves. Every shelf has 6 holes for a screw with a shaft diameter of 0.2 in (5 mm), a head diameter of 0.4 in (10 mm) and a head thickness of 0.2 in (5 mm). Each shelf also has a hanging mount in the middle of the back. The inside of the shelf measures 4.9 in X 4.3 in (125 mm x 110 mm) and the entire footprint of the shelf is 5.9 in X 5.3 in (150 mm x 135 mm).

There are also three different types of walls that can be slotted into the hexagon shelf. There are sets of diagonal and straight walls that split the shelf into 4 areas. Just one diagonal or straight wall can be used to split the shelf and half instead of into areas. There is also a holding wall which turns the shelf into a simple container.

Print this in PLA or PETG for extra strength. This should be printed laying on the back so the grain of the 3D print is working against the stress of gravity. No supports are required.

Use:

• Print as many containers as you need
• Mount one shelf to the wall with the screw holes or the hanging mount
• Slot the pieces together with the dovetail joints
• Screw each shelf individually into the wall if they are bearing large amounts of weight
• Add custom walls to each self as needed
