My main design area is, for some reason, decorative coasters. So I'm going to start uploading some here too
Let's be honest here; what's not to love about AC/DC? They have that wonderful Aussie/Georgie fusion thing going on, they still have the same energy after nearly fifty years of gigging, they write great feel-good rock songs and play them loudly and proudly... and then there's Angus. May look slightly unhinged (slightly??) and jiggle about the stage like he's being electrocuted but I challenge ANYONE to name a guitarist who's written more catchy rock riffs than Angus Young. And for all those who sniff and say 'it's all just four chord stuff', why don't you just try playing the riff to Thunderstruck while headbanging...? If you haven't heard any AC/DC (where have you been for the last fifty years??) I HEARTILY recommend getting hold of some of their material and giving it a serious listen. And please, listen to something else OTHER than 'Highway to Hell' or 'Whole Lotta Rosie'. They're great songs, don't get me wrong, but every covers band I've ever been in has done one or both and.... sorry, but AC/DC have done more (and better) songs than those two. 'Back in Black', 'Moneytalks', 'You Shook Me All Night Long', 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap', 'Sin City'....... Take your pick. It is my firm hope that featuring 'Shoot to Thrill' as Tony Stark's anthem in the Marvel Comics movies will bring a whole new generation to discover just how good these 'old' bands can sound! They've had it a bit rough over the last few years, what with the death of Malcolm Young (the rhythm guitarist and brother of Angus), and Brian Johnson, the lead singer (himself the replacement for the late great Bon Scott, who died in 1980) quitting due to failing health. But as long as there's real rock around, the spirit of AC/DC shall prevail.
For those about to rock, we salute you.
