Hamper Divider 3D print model

Organize your laundry with ease using this 3D printable laundry divider! Designed to work with hampers that have a perforated hole pattern and an outer ridge along the top, this system helps you create adjustable compartments for separating laundry. The divider is secure yet flexible, allowing you to adjust the compartment sizes as needed while keeping everything neatly divided.

Requirements

• This system is compatible with hampers featuring perforated holes and a ridge on the top outer edge (depending on your hamper you may have to modify the .f3d or .step files, but the concept will be the same)
• If you want to try and get a similar hamper that might just be compatible right off the bat you can find a similar hamper to the one I designed this system for on the Walmart website (at https://www.walmart.com/ip/Home-Logic-2-5-Bushel-XL-Lamper-Plastic-Laundry-Basket-White-Adult-Tween/49660537?classType=VARIANT&athbdg=L1103&from=/search). This hamper is very close if not exact to the same to the hamper I used.
• A piece of cloth that you can cut to size

Usage

• Attach Bottom Brackets: Secure the two bottom brackets to the hamper using T bolts threaded through the hamper's perforations and into the brackets.
• Attach Top Brackets: Clip the two top brackets onto the outside ridge of the hamper.
• Prepare the Divider Cloth: Cut a piece of cloth slightly larger than the divider area to ensure flexibility when repositioning.
• Assemble the Divider: Wrap the cloth around the pins and insert them into all four brackets, creating a taut and secure divider.
• Adjust as Needed: The bottom brackets remain fixed, but the top brackets can be easily unclipped and repositioned to adjust the divider size.

Print Instructions

• Material: PLA or PETG for durability
• Supports:
  • Only required for top brackets
  • All the other files are support free
• Orientation:
  • Print Bottom Blocks flat on their largest surface for stability
  • Print Top Blocks upside down to minimize supports
  • Print Screws/T bolts horizontally for strength
  • Print Pins horizontally for strength
• Brims: Optional for smaller parts to ensure adhesion
