This is my take on a dual extruder head that is a direct bolt on for the TronXY X5SA printer. It uses common components and V6 hottends.
The body consists of three parts: Upper, middle and lower frames.
The middle frame is how the whole assembly bolts to the carriage of the X5SA. The upper carriage contains the stepper motors and the lower frame contains the hot ends.
All other parts are off the shelf components common for 3D printers. Assembly is accomplished using 3MM plastic screws.
This design also features dual part cooling fans, a single hotend fan, adjustable compression wheels.
The stepper motors have a geared setup, for a more finely controlled extrusion. The stepper motors are mounted to the gear covers and the gear covers are screwed to upper frame. One of these screws also acts as the pivot for the adjustable compression arms.
The hot ends are held in place with simple blocks that screw into the hotend frame and also feature a hole for an adjustable compression screw to ensure the hotends remain secure.
Included with package are .stl files of all printable pieces.
