Take a look at my last paint job on my RC car body sculpture I made with clay and an old rc car body. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnPO08ff1kc&feature=youtu.be

That is a warning. 101 Hero is good but has some limits which you have clearly pointed out

Yes! Exactly! The printer is very cheap and very capable but really hard to use. This means that it is a great benchmark to show people that if a certain model can be printed on it, without the use of support or modifications than it can be printed easily on any other printer in the world and you would get good results.

Once my printer starts printing better and more stably I will print this one out again. Remember the first time I tried printing it without support the front did not work on the 101 hero but it was perfect on my friend's Zortrax. What that means is that on a good quality printer, 500 dollars and up range this model is going to print really well but on a low end printer not using support it will fail. It also depends on the plastic and the speed at which you are trying to print. 3D printing is a very complex process in my opinion. There are so many different variables that need to work together to get a good print. I think that is why some companies decided to only recommend their own plastic to be used with their own printer and provide users with at least 3 basic default settings. This way at the very least you can expect decent results from your printer at the default settings and most models that are well built like this one will work on those good printers.

That is what the company claims... The company even claims that children can print with it. I doubt any child younger than 8 years old can print using this printer unless a parent does all the setup work for the child and even then they have to be a very smart 8 year old if they want to make any adjustments to the gcode setting on each print. The reason why I got the 101 hero was as a challenge. It is the best tool for learning how to 3D print... basically if you can get a good print out of this machine then you should be able to get a print out of any other machine on the market because using this printer is about as easy and doing a rubix cube for the first time without instructions.

Yes! That is the reason this model is hollow on the inside, so it can fit directly on an RC car. The problem is that I am still struggling with my 101 hero. I have not reached a level of competency that allows me to print it. I will have to settle with 1: 43 scale or just a little bit larger on a 101 hero because it does not have a build plate large enough to print a 1 :24 scale car in one print. I am also experimenting with trying to print it in smaller parts but again the 101 hero is a printer for experts. As a beginner it is really hard to run.
