I have not printed this helmet yet, but I wanted to review it based on what I have observed having spent some time with the files.
I will preface this by saying that I voted "negative" because for me accuracy is very key. And while the creator didn't specify it was screen accurate, there are a few things that I feel could have been done more accurate.
I also feel there are some quality of life changes that would make this easier to print or provide more flexibility.
1. Back Plate
To me this is the part with the most issues. Having compared it to screen captures from RC1, the following are my initial observations.
- The vents are not the correct shape and seem to come out a bit far.
- The bottom groove is too large
- The two vertical ovals are too far away from the vents (this may be because the vents are too small horizontally)
- The OI is too far away from the vents (this may be because the vents are too small horizontally)
- There is a groove around the centre "disk" that doesn't seem to be on the screen used helmet. (trying to find better reference)
- The centre "disk" should be larger and it is stepped on the inside
- The centre groove should extend along the bottom
- missing screw mounts (yes these can be drilled afterwards, but it should at least have reference holes)
- The vents are spaced too far apart. The bottom of the top vent seems to align closer to the middle of the centre of the "disk" but it is way too high on the model.
- There is an error in the model in the "wrench" hole. The model is pinched and dented.
2. Quality of life
I am the type of person who likes to have 3D printed parts broken down by detail. This allows me the option to use other methods (resin) and print orientations to get the most detail. It also allows me to post-process smaller details easier.
While there is nothing inherently wrong with this model, it would be nice to see options for detail pieces. Such as:
- Having the OCP POLICE 001 as a separate part that could slot into the helmet. This would allow for printing at higher resolution or resin printing it. It could then be glued in and the seams could be filled and sanded for a seamless look.
- The "ears" could be separate allowing for resin versions and easier post-processing on the helmet.
- The "Disk" on the back plate could also be separate for the same reasons above.
- Some of the internals could be rounded to eliminate sharp edges. There are also a few instances in which supports could be avoided with some modelling tweaks.
- The vents on the back plate could be hollowed out. This would not only be more accurate, but it could allow for them to be used as actual vents for heat distribution.
- It doesn't appear there was much thought put into making this comfortable. I've watched some YouTube videos where the person used velcro to to attach the parts. There are no mount points for magnets, snaps, fans, batteries, or anything that would make it a more enjoyable experience as a cosplay item.

Overall it is a nice sculpt. For the average person it sells the idea of Robocop, but there are accuracy issues that would make me hesitate recommending it to anyone looking for a highly accurate replica. I am going to have to alter the parts in ZBrush to suit my needs, but it would be nice to see an update on this.
