This has been a project that I have been meaning to do for a while. In this modern day, you find these wheelie bins everywhere.
With this project I wanted to do something a little different to the standard wheelie bins I have seen, so I have done three versions with the lid in different positions. with the lid open you can add extra detail and put rubbish in the bins.
I have designed these for my model railway but can be used for other modelling hobbies.
These wheelie bins have been designed at OO gauge, 1/76.2 scale. For HO Gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale, For O Gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 scale, For O Gauge International print at 158%, 1/48 scale, For N Gauge UK print at 51.5%, 1/148 Scale, (Caution: I have not test printed this in N gauge scale).
Examples in the photos were printed on an AnyCubic Photon M3 Resin Printer
I recommend printing these items on a 3D resin printer to get the best resolution print, for larger scales you might be able to print them on a filament printer (Not tested). As per normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the design of the model too much. Files starting with _ have supports added.
The main resins I use for printing can be found with my affiliated links below. I use AnyCubic Water Washable Resin for most of my items but use AnyCubic ABS Like Resin for anything that needs to be stronger and tougher.
