Description

The original lens hoods for the Mamiya 7 65mm and the 50mm lens and the Mamiya 6 50mm are a bit delicate. This is a model to print your own replacement if your lens hood has kicked the bucket.

This hood uses a bayonet mount, the same as the Mamiya hood does and it can also be stored on the lens in the reverse direction, the same way that the original factory hood can be stored.

I received a request to have a version without the raised lettering and placement locators. I removed the raised portions and left only the recessed arrows for placement locators.

I just added a smoother version. I haven't test printed, let me know if there is any issue.

Hopefully, somebody in the thinning ranks of Mamiya 7 shooters will find this useful.

Works great. I had this model printed as-is by Shapeways, I did it in black PA12 nylon, SLS printing, with vapor smoothing service. Goes on well in both orientations (forward and backward) and stays in place securely. Only complaint is that the polygon count on some of the circular shapes seems to be a little too low, they are pretty visible in the print, but in general that doesn't bother me. Certainly beats paying $120 shipped for a used beat up one on EBay.
