The model was created based on blueprints, photos and historical documentation. It was created with precision in detail and in real units of measurement to be a faithful reproduction of the original.
The 12.7 cm/50 Type 3 naval gun was a medium-caliber naval gun of the Imperial Japanese Navy used during World War II. It was the standard weapon for Japanese destroyers between 1928 and 1944.
The turret can be printed as a single piece (onepiece.stl) or in single parts. It is made up of 3 pieces to be printed. Once printed they can be finished, assembled, glued and plastered where necessary and painted.
The STL files are in 1:100 scale (in mm units).
N.B. There are some tiny parts, resin printing recommended.
N.B.2 No mechanical or functional parts are included. This is a reproduction for modelers and collectors only.
The final object sizes are: Lenght: 8.12cm, Width: 5.4cm, Height: 2.9cm.
You can use the OBJ and FBX files as reference to assemble all the printed parts.
Please note: the grey supports you can see in the images are not included in the stl files. You need to create them with your slicer software.
