2001 - Space Odyssey Aries 1B Model 3D print model

These are 3D print files to build your own Aries 1B spaceship as seen in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. This is a very hard model to find at a REASONABLE price ! This is a close likeness to the movie model used. This is ideally for the scratch model builder who wants to take a model and make it their own... meaning you can add your own greeblies to it to the extent you want to make it either movie accurate or putting your own influence on it. I tried to keep it close to the model as found. I modelled it after screen shots and reference photos. Mine shown in the pictures was 90% complete and I wired it for LEDs. The exterior panels around the waist are supplied as files, but the top panels around the pilot's winodws need to be modelled separately in polystyrene or similar as the radius of the model creates a scaling problem (4/3 Pi r**3) when adjusted so pattern those off paper then cut to size. Any questions assembling the model feel free to ask. Model at 80% makes a final ship approx 10 inches in diameter.
